Minneapolis - Avenue Q

I traveled to Minneapolis in January with some friends to see Avenue Q. I found the musical when I researched into a popular warcraft video Some of my other friends wanted to shop. So we rented a van, and headed out. The show was super funny, and everything I expected from theater involving puppet intercourse. My brother bought almost all the Q merchandise he could afford, and then after that he hit me up for money so he could buy more.

One thing I didn’t expect was how close together the songs would appear in the play. I was filled in by some nice Yanks, apparently one of the two writers of the play is really bad at writing dialogue, and has written plays like Avenue Q before, but they have failed. However, the other one is really good at writing songs. So the play tries hard to just use dialogue to fill in the time between the songs.

Minneapolis has a light rail system. Winnipeg would be awesome with a light rail system, because then I would be able to get to anywhere in Winnipeg in 10 minutes by light rail, instead of 45 by bus. Also, light rail runs 24 hours, instead of Winnipeg’s public transit’s 2am curfew.
