Thursday: Girl Talk.
This concert lived up to all my expectations. He gets on stage, then DJ’s the hell out of everyone, then jumps around, and gets everyone on stage to jump around with him. I’m still looking for my socks. I got him to sign his first two CD’s that I own, and told him to come back for Send + Recieve , so he can come here and kick more ass playing a noise set.
This concert just reminded me of how much I want to make music and DJ. I should have the main riff of a track by Thursday.
Friday: I clean eavestroughs.
Turns out eavestroughs are pretty gross. They smell bad too.
Saturday: The Die Hard Marathon.
I go over to a friends house and watch 3 die hard movies. I had never seen them before, and they were very fun to watch, even more so as I got more loaded off Jack Daniels.
Sunday: Canada Day.
I went and saw Even Almighty; Probably the lamest thing you can do on your country’s 140th birthday. Seriously, John A. Macdonald would probably swig some gin, then punch the first person he saw if he knew how many people were in the theater*s that night. He’d probably drink some gin after that. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a movie that actually made me angry for seeing it. I’ve never been so conscience of my life getting shorter than when seeing that movie.
Monday: Die Hard 4
I learned two things from Die Hard 4;
1. How to be a badass
2. That Women are pretty much indestructible. You can slap, kick and punch them, throw them into server racks, hit them with SUV’s, drive them through glass walls into a concrete elevator shaft, and you won’t even mess up their hair. This confirms what I’ve always believed, that all that stuff women use has small amounts of Kevlar and Titanium in it. Oil of Olay should really team up with the military.
It’s back to work tomorrow though. I have a demo reel to work on, and a creative proposal for a commercial to write. Plus all my hobbies.
